Simple, consistent, fun and good. I have been here a bunch of times for happy hour, snacks, dinner inside and out, summer and winter. Nothing fancy but consistently good food and drink. Service is attentive, outside music is usually pretty good too. Overall I like this spot for anytime food and drink near water and boats. Recommend for casual drinks and food.

I have mixed feelings about this place. The salsa was incredible. Very flavorful and fresh. I had a skinny margarita which was absolutely delicious. I actually took a sip of my sister's regular house marg, and the skinny was so much better! Highly recommend it! Our server got all of our orders wrong. To remedy the situation, the manager took one meal off the bill. That was fine, but then our server didn't print us out a new ticket so we didn't know what the updated total was. We finally got a new bill, and put our credit card in the check presenter for the server to pick up. He never did...we ended up having to get up and give it to him. The food was okay. I had she-crab soup which was fairly decent. It was very thick though, and sort of lumpy? But not lumpy because of crab meat. Strange. Anyway, I would recommend coming here for a cocktail and some chips and salsa. I probably would not have another meal here.

Sit outside at the bar and enjoy the music and views of the marina. Not tons of drink choices but the atmosphere makes up for it.

Lime in the coconut during the Tuesday fireworks was great! The queso dip with beef is tasty! The beer on tap was good, but some craft brews would be nice.

Mexican/American cuisine. Really loved the salsa and margaritas. The dishes are standard fare. Really god but not great and nothing different. Standard flour tortillas, no corn. The server got my wife's order wrong and basically expected her to just eat what she didn't order. A little off but I would go here again for a quick fix without huge expectations.

We had an excellent experience at this restaurant. Lindsey was our server and she was extremely attentive, kind, and fun. We especially enjoyed the guacamole side with the flour tortilla chips and the quesadillas. We appreciated the very quick service and response to each of our requests. The food was terrific, and the service even better.

Great Mexican food, excellent service. My family comes to Hilton head once a year and every year we make sure to come to this restaurant one night. I would definitely recommend the fajitas

Salsa was very good. Mild with plenty of fresh cilantro for good flavor. Chips were thick enough to hold a good dip. Service was pleasant. Atmosphere was odd. They were playing a top 20 radio station, which along with a lot of other minor details made the place feel not much like "authentic" Mexican food. Ordered a chimichanga, carnitas, a deluxe burrito, and a fish sandwich. Chimichanga was fine. Carnitas looked good, and my buddy said they tasted great. Fish sandwich was served as tiny strips (instead of an actual piece of fish). Flavor wasn't good either. Really disappointing. Deluxe burrito was accompanied by a tiny scoop of rice that wasn't plated well. Actual burrito (I chose chicken instead of beef.) was largely flavorless and lacked interesting textures. Was covered in a tomato sauce so mild that I could hardly tell it was even there. Menu selection was fairly small. I wouldn't recommend this place. Service was fine, but the tacky radio music along with the below par food was a sore disappointment.

This is a bar...not a restaurant. It's all atmosphere and sells itself as Mexican food. Taco Bell is more Mexican than this place. Not bad for a beer and people watching but lacking in the restaurant vein. I had the Deluxe Burrito w/rice. Shredded beef is not an option only chicken or ground beef. Stick to appetizers and libations.

Extremely mediocre and overpriced Mexican food. Ordered guacamole two different times and never came, server got one of our entree orders completely wrong, and rest of food was blah and expensive. $16.50 for two chicken enchiladas at lunch??? Fajita salad basically bowl of lettuce with two tiny rubbery chicken strips. Margarita had no tequila and basket of chips came out oily and half cooked. Overall extremely disappointing. Chipotle has far better food so get a burrito there and go sit by the harbor and save yourself the hassle.

The food wasn't bad once they finally remade 3 dinners previously served to the wrong people. No apologies were offered but a no big deal mentality was surely their attitude. Definitely will not go back. Furthermore, I would strongly discourage this restaurant as there ard so many other restaurants on Hilton Head Island worthy of your hard earned money.

Loved sitting outside with a view to the marina. Food was good. Liked the live entertainment and it was kid friendly. Our server Michael was very informative and helpful in our food selection. Only downfall, wait 2 hours to be seated. However, with Harbor Fest going on at the same time, it made the wait a lot better.

While the food was somewhere between a two and a three the service (unlike other's experience) was actually a highlight. Lou made its easier to swallow mediocre food and drink and we thank her for that. Movin on.....

This place is a joke. A little rain and they closed up like a clam. Arrived with a party of 6 for drinks and a 16 year old girl said plainly "we're closed." I looked around and saw multiple tables with parties celebrating and looking at the hostess in disbelief. As I looked around, I was told "oh, they already ordered." I can say that I have ever seen anything quite like it. Never again. Thank God Scott's Fish Market was open and welcomed us.

Average meal. Nothing special. The only reason I give it three stars and not two is because the chips and salsa were made in house (at least the chips) and were very delicious. I got the Chimichanga Con Queso and it was ok but the sauce on top was barely warm. The service was average too. Waitress mixed up the two burritos in my party. She was pretty inattentive too. This place isn't anything to write home about and with all of the incredible seafood on the island I don't think it's worth it. Maybe for a quick cheap meal but that's about it.

Nice little location tucked away on the water. Nice view of the harbor. We had the queso - it came served in a tortilla bowl. Surprisingly yummy. Margaritas were perfect. He had the Escalade and a margarona I had the skinny margarita and all three were very good. Dinner was a chimichanga del mar. Wonderful dish! Defiantly a must have. I wrote my review solely to say that this is better than 3 star and is a great find :-)

San Miguel's is tucked away behind a couple of condominiums so it's a little hard to find. We sat outside to enjoy the weather but our conversation was quickly drowned out from the leaf blowers. Chips and salsa was delish. Chips were hot & crispy... Yumm. Salsa had a nice kick and I loved the chunks of onions. I ordered the chicken fajita salad which was just ok. The shell was crispy, not too oily, and didn't fall apart from all of the toppings. The chicken didn't have too much flavor and was kind of dry for it being fajita meat. The dressing was a green vinaigrette and it was interesting. A little tart for my taste. My coworker had a taco and enchilada platter. He said it was standard and nothing stood out. He ordered a beef enchilada but only got a cheese enchilada but they brought out a beef one ten minutes later, when we were full. The outdoor patio is cute with little heaters. You get a good view of the boats and a nice breeze from the water. Just wish the service was a little better.

We had 8 people (2 kids) and had a great experience. The food was great and the service was fine. I am glad I did not listen to the reviews that slammed the service as bad. HH has some bad servers on the island, no doubt and I think we all just accept the fact that service is not great everywhere you go. Get over it. This is a nice place and we'd come back.

Great view if you are looking for a view. This is a Mexican restaurant on the water in Shelter Cove. Went on 5/9 with a group of 10 people for Happy Hour. Server was able to keep check straight without any trouble. He was a real pro. The food is good. I really like the queso and guacamole. Both were served fresh. The outdoor bar is so nice if you are walking around after dinner or want to go for Happy Hour.

Worst service we've experienced on Hilton Head. Great location by marina and fun outdoor music, but we had one of the worst waitresses ever. Stopped by for an evening appetizer. Warm chips and house salsa were both tasty. Ordered San Miguel nachos as an appetizer which came with LOTS of toppings but maybe 10 soaked chips buried under a pile of toppings. We asked for more chips and waitress came back with bowl of salsa but said they threw out the rest of the chips. We were not sure if she thought we'd eat salsa like soup??? Hard to eat a chip appetizer with no chips. She also said they were out of diet coke after asking for refill. "We have no other diet sodas" so she brought me an ice tea. It took 10 minutes to even get her attention in almost empty restaurant as she talked with coworkers. We asked for manager. Female manager was very nice and said waitress was new. She said they could make new chips and they did have diet coke. She covered appetizer and drinks on house and we left. Not good experience when you are dining out wanting to enjoy the experience. Hopefully this place will improve.

The salsa is the best I've ever had! The chips however are nothing special and they charge for them beyond the first round. I had their signature San Miguel Salad which was very tasty.

Chili Con Queso was very good. Salsa was great. Meal was good. I would recommend but do not go out of way.

    (3)
  • Randall O.

Food was okay. Had fajitas. Could have cooked meat with the peppers and onions to get full flavor. You can tell all was cooked separate. Margaritas were okay. Not the best i've had.

  • Gregory S.

The best part about this restaurant is it's location. It is located in the Shelter Cover district which is, honestly, easier to find the in dark than any other place on the island. The food is okay, but nothing special.

  • G M.

We go at least once every trip tp HH. Very good Mexican food overall. Chips and salsa are very good. The Queso dip with fried flour tortillas is terrific. Enchiladas were very good as are the tacos. They have flavorfull rice and beans rather than them being an afterthought. The location is nice for a walk around the marina before or after dinner. Service is good with friendly waitstaff. A solid choice for a casual meal in HH.

  • Chris R.

We have been here several years in a row, at least every year we are in Hilton Head. We love the food and the atmosphere, especially when we eat outside. I had the Fish Tacos and they were a little spicy but very good. The black bean and corn salsa really added to the plate. I am sure we will be back next year as well.

  • Beth H.

We went tonight and sat for over 10 minutes waiting on service. Tables seated after us were receiving service and we even went to the hostess and informed them that our server never came by. At least 4 servers came by and glanced at our table, but none took our drink orders. After almost 15 minutes and no drinks, we left. Definitely won't be back.

    (1)
  • Carolyn L.

I was nice eating somwhere that doesnt have mainly seafood. The margaritas are really tasty and the food was pretty good. Only thing I have to complain about is I can get the same tasting food at a "mom and pop" Mexican restaurant for a lot cheaper! Nice view from the patio over looking the marina!

    (3)
  • Bill W.

If you don't mind staff and management swapping drunk driving stories and drinking on the clock, stop in. Also, waitresses hollering at customers from across the room to clarify side dishes was a nice touch. The manager even put her cocktail down to address that in front of customers as she laughed about it. Food sucks too. Skip it!

  • Chris R.

Tried this as it was close to our hotel and appeared to have a decent menu. Started with the guacamole which did not seem very fresh and was very bland. Not recommended. The salsa was extremely salty - I guess they sell more drinks that way, but it was to the point of not really being edible. I had a seafood burrito and my wife had a veggie burrito. Both were OK - refried beans had a burnt taste. The seafood burrito was very bland and lifeless. On the bright side, service was very good (they were not busy that day, but our server was very attentive). Prices were typical island-inflated which I don't mind paying if the food is worth it. We would not return.

Coming from California, the food at San Miguel's was just alright. I ducked in here while in the midst of a huge rainstorm and needed a place to chill out while the weather passed. There were only 3 other people in the joint, all at the bar. I sat with them and watched intermittent satellite TV. The bartender was reasonably entertaining and started doing shots with a guy who was clearly a local. Anyway, I ordered the fajitas, largely because another person at the bar got them and the sizzle inspired me. Interestingly, they came out 5 minutes later. This leads me to believe that chicken, peppers and onions were all pre-cooked and simply placed on a hot skillet. I was starving so they tasted fine to me. Chips and salsa, though, were quite good and the margarita was made with what appeared to be housemade mix, which they had in a 5 gallon bucket with a spigot on the counter. Anyway, it was good enough at the time, but I probably wouldn't go back. At least the prices weren't too bad, considering it is part of a resort.

This place was not good. Food terrible and service not much better. Only thing keeping it from a negative score was outside bar. I suggest you avoid at all costs.

Meh. Middle of the road Mexican food, subpar margarita, snotty waiter... Not one I'd recommend. UPDATE: I may have been rash in saying the waiter was "snotty". Unlike the other wait staff we've encountered this week, he did not enhance our dining experience or make us feel tremendously welcomed. Snotty? Maybe not. I do, however, stand by the rest of the review. The food was bland and the margarita was poor.

Like the convenience of walking to SM from the condo. I ordered the vegetable quesadilla. Menu claimed it was full of zucchini, mushrooms, onions. It arrived with a very few pieces of zucchini and mushrooms and huge chunks of onions. I guess onions are far less expensive than the other veggies. I was disappointed with my 'onion' quesadilla. The waitress was nice, friendly and attentive for a busy Friday night. I would not drive to the restaurant specifically, just go there for the convenience.

This place was a welcome break from the usual tourist traps of Hilton Head. Just good solid mexican food at a reasonable price with prompt courteous service. The drinks were excellent. Awesome Margarita's. Ice-cold draft beer. Nice location. Highly recommended. Ate here twice while on vacation in Hilton Head. Price range is $10-$20 per person including an adult beverage. A great deal for Hilton Head. 2 thumbs up.

  • AJ M.

The food wasn't that good. It tasted like regular Mexican food. The margaritas were really good though. The service was good but again, the food was nothing to rave about.

  • Amy O.

Liked the location, the via text check in, and my skinny marg (the only option without sweet and sour) was good. The negatives outweigh the positives though. Our food arrived late -- really late, like we were flagging down our waitress late. Not surprisingly, both mine and my Dad's plates had obviously been sitting under a heat lamp, the re-fried beans were actually cracking. When I complained, the young guy who had brought out the plates informed me it would take forever to redo because they would have to cook everything all over again. He basically took my plate, swapped the beans and returned 12 minutes later. Understaffed, under trained staff, mediocre food, and really cramped seating with little room between tables.

I recently had dinner at this restaurant with my family and the experience was not terrible, but the food was abysmal. The carnitas I ordered were basically a pile of salt and green goo that tasted nothing like pork to me. Needless to say, I left the restaurant hungry and turned off by the notion of trying any of the other items on the menu. The service was speedy and our waiter was very polite, I wish the food was as good as the service but unfortunately it was nowhere close to the meal I envisioned having before I stepped foot in the restaurant.

  • Brendan C.

This is an above average Mexican restaurant with good food, a good selection of beer and live music. The service is average if a little on the slow side. On the plus side, San Miguel's is kid-friendly and very accommodating for large dinner parties; my group had fourteen people -- adults and kids.

Nice Surprise! Tucked away this place has great Chips and salsa - Crispy and Hot. Salsa had a nice kick. Taco Salad and Taco's were great. Drinks were outstanding! Thanks for a nice fast meal!

I came here with a group of 6 and waited about 10min to be seated. In fact.. we weren't really seated - we saw an open table, got tired of waiting and just sat down (by the bar). Chips with salsa were served to keep us occupied but we had to bother the bartender for drinks since our server was MIA for a while after the chips hit the table. I'm vegetarian so I was scouring the veg options. I went with the spinach quesadilla (on the menu: "you'll make Popeye proud") - I LOVE spinach and was sold. Everyone's food came in a timely manor, our server seemed a little frazzled but it was a busy sat. night so I'll give him that. SO excited to dig in and I get a mouth full of cheese. OK... next bite: cheese. I tear this baby open and I kid you not, there's 8 leaves of fresh spinach dispersed around. Man was I pissed and the table knew it too. I used a fork, ate the leaves and about 1 slice of the cheese quesadilla. I was starving but thankfully my bf gave me some veggies off his yummy vegetable fajita. All in all, I left hungry and disappointed in this overpriced mexican pizza. The atmosphere and live music was very nice but food failed.

This place is located along the water in shelter cove on the island. I came with a friend on a Friday night. I can't speak much for the inside because we never actually made it inside. We requested an outdoor table so we could hear the live acoustic music. The wait for the table was about 15 minutes so we sat at the bar and had a drink while we waited. We had just missed happy hour which seemed to contain some pretty good deals. Two dollar off frozen and mixed drinks and a dollar off beer. They had a variety of frozen drinks and margaritas. I ordered a mango margarita and it was easily the best margarita I have ever had. They also had the traditional Mexican restaurant beer and wine selection along with sangria. I had the sangria with dinner. It was served in a pint glass with huge fruit slices in it and it was delicious. The menu was basically your typical Mexican cuisine. We had the complimentary tortilla chips and salsa as an appetizer, and then I ordered a veggie quesadilla. This isn't something I would normally order, but it sounded really good at the time. I was right with my instincts because it was awesome. Just a quesadilla with mushrooms, onions, peppers, zucchini, cheese and the like. The service was so-so. It seemed to be a popular place for a lot of high school students to work. All in all the atmosphere, food, drinks, and music were very good, and I would definitely recommend stopping by if you're craving Mexican while on the island!

  • Jason A.

Not bad mexican considering that you are on an island! The salsa tasted a bit too sweet for my taste; sugar perhaps?? Overall our meals were quite good and very much amply portioned. Only thing I would knock would be the enchiladas served with....um....cheddar?? The service was superb and our waiter was very attentive.

  • M.J. S.

There is is, Morty sums it up: Taco Bell is better. Tough chips, under-seasoned guacamole and a poorly executed combination plate of bland ground beef taco and greasy cheese enchilada. Actually, Fiesta Fresh is much, much better -- and cheaper, too. Oh yes,and cleaner, too.

Nice mexican place. Patio is very nice with live music. Food was average at best though. Service was reasonable.

Very average "Mexican" fair - we agree with what the other reviews say. Weak Margaritas - definitely stay away from the "Skinny Margarita." Good kid restaurant.

Went for lunch. Wasn't expecting much, so was surprised that it was pretty good. Good enough so that I would be ok going back, if the kids wanted to. Not good enuf to hit my must-repeat list, though. .

We went here for the tuesday night fireworks and decided to get something to eat. They were pretty busy - I had the chicken chimichanga. It was a huge flour tortilla filled with cheese and the most flavorless white chicken breast you've ever seen, and then deep fried. Deep-frying anything will usually make for a tasty meal, but all I can say about this one was that it was bland. In fact, it was so big and so bland, I brought the leftovers home and used them to make a chickensalad sandwhich! They made some nice black bean burritos and quesadillas for the kids. Wife had the shrimp tacos and "they weren't bad". It wasn't bad, it was just what I imagine mexican food might be like in Ohio.

  • Rebecca F.

The concierge at our hotel recommended this place. We were pleasantly surprised. Sitting outdoors was wonderful, and there was live entertainment in the form of a solo guitarist/singer. The food was pretty good and very reasonably priced for the island. Nothing spectacular, but we liked it. I enjoyed my fish tacos. The salsa was average, and my hubbie did not like the chips (overcooked). Drinks were ok, but way overpriced (everywhere we went on the island had ridiculously overpriced drinks). I would recommend this place to you if you want decent Mexican food and don't want to spend an arm and a leg like you would pretty much everywhere else in HH.

Great food and very accommodating. Happy Hour had good drink prices. Sangria was served in a pint glass for $3.25.

If my son (5) ruled our dining choices, this would be the only place we would eat. On a Sunday night we had no wait and great service. The kiddos loves their meals my fish taco was delicious and my hubby's plate was enormous - he ate it all so it couldn't have been too bad! Nice live music, not too loud, completely kid appropriate (not Raffi or the Wiggles, but I wasn't concerned with the lyrics). It may not be 100% authentic Mexican, but it was good food and a pleasant experience.

  • Tyler B.

As my BDGF pointed out after I turned to her post dinner at San Miguels and noted "That was pretty good." - it's hard to screw up Mexican food. And she's right. The food is OK, but you won't run back here for it. The waterfront location is nice, but it was busy enough on a random Thursday night that getting a drink while waiting for our table was a task and a half. And again, there was live music that was palatable, with an extra gold star for the one man instrumental version of The Pixie's 'Gigantic'. The margaritas were solid, but again, not noteworthy. The Yelp 3-star description is A-OK. I can't think of a more appropriate description of my experience at SMMC.

On our last night of vacation we decided to go to this place. It was a good choice. There was a hour wait but it was worth it. The service was fantastic and the food was delicious. We loved the salsa. It had fresh cilantro which is rear to find in other restaurants salsa. We will go back on our next trip.

I have had so much good Mexican food before, so it was hard to give this place great reviews. The Chile Relleno was good. The place was child friendly. Nothing here said to me that this was the best Mexican food around, but I didn't come to the beach to eat Mexican food. Middle of the road.

    (3)
  • Elise M.

If you're looking for a fun night of Mexican food while you're at the beach, this place will work. Margaritas? Great. Food? Fine, not the best I've ever had, but certainly good. I had the Enchiladas Verdes and they were tasty. The chips were warm, the salsa was fresh and the queso blanco was very good. Good atmosphere. Friendly staff. I'd go back.

  • Ken G.

Great location and staff, but fairly awful food. My chicken burrito deluxe came in a pool of water...they said it was broth...and had obviously been sitting under a heat lamp for awhile. The next one was fresher but just didn't have any flavor. Very disappointing. Will not return.

Worst Mexican ever. Our waiter was really cool but that's the only good thing I can say about this place. Asked for a sample of their re-fried beans, cause thats how I judge a Mexican place. (FAIL). Our waiter made me order the full bean thing to taste it. It was terrible. I saw the she crab soup and being in SC I thought maybe they they could get that right. (FAIL)I would not recommend this to my dog or any of you for that matter. Overall this place will never see me again

Went for dinner this evening. They have an outside patio and nice views of the harbor. There was live music and that was nice. When we arrived there were quite a few tables open, but were told it would be an hour for an outside table. We decided we would take first available, and then were told that was an hour, too. We were called after about 45 min. And got to sit outside, so not bad. We had gotten a drink from the bar, although that took about 15 min to get the bartenders attention. We sat down, and it was at least 15 min before our waiter came by. We placed our order, and it was at least another 30 minutes before we had food. We went through 3 bowls of chips, which was not a good idea, but it is now almost 2 hours since we arrived for dinner, and we were hungry. The waiter never apologized for the delay or communicated anything at all to us. I had requested corn tortillas for my tacos, but they came with flour. At this point, we just needed to eat and go. Also, from the "crust" on my retried beans, and the dried rice, I would say my food had been ready for quite some time. The flour tortillas were also dried out. We just ate and left. The food is very average. We have been to this restaurant multiple times over the years, and the food is never great, but we return as it seems to appease the group we are with, and the setting is nice. When you have to eat inside the restaurant, it is truly a negative experience. With all the great restaurants in HH, there is no god reason to eat here again. And, I won't.

Went today for drinks and appetizers. The Skinny Margarita was tasty and the BBQ Chicken Nachos were also good. My displeasure was with the service. We had to interrupt our waitress' personal conversation to be seated which seemed to displease her. Service got better once we were seated. We have been here numerous times and usually service is better.

We frequently stay with family in the Shelter Cove area when visiting Hilton Head Island, so San Miguel's is wonderfully convenient...no matter the time of year, we make this a regular stop. In the summer months there is plenty of outdoor seating, an outdoor bar, and live entertainment...not to mention watching all of the other people strolling by along the harbor. In the cooler months we opt for indoor seating which is plentiful with traditional "TexMex" decorations and a large bar area. We were just here last night and as usual were promptly greeted by a pleasant young lady and shown to our window seat by an expansive hand-painted mural. Our server soon arrived with a mountainous basket of chips and salsa and asked for our drink order...can I say the margaritas truly are great?! I've sampled a few different selections from their menu, but my favorite is the traditional gold margarita (on the rocks with salt, please). As for the food choices...those too we have sampled several items and never been disappointed. Everything is always tasty and very plentiful...quesadillas (any flavor) and fajitas are a great choice. However, nachos are where I usually land...the regular order of San Miguel nachos is piled high with everything you can ever want on nachos and served on a large platter (plenty for 2-3 to share), but 1/2 orders are available on request for smaller appetites. For fun last summer I tried the BBQ Chicken Nachos and they were equally good. San Miguel's is definitely a kid friendly place...having a fun atmosphere, children's menu, and activities. Needless to say, they never disappoint us and we will continue to come back. Note... They do typically close during the month of January for annual refurbishing.

Food here is OK but not over the top. Decent portions and fairly reasonable pricing. Is it "authentic Mexican"? Probably not but the location and the view mitigates that a bit. Music most nights in season at Happy Hour time.

Mexican food in South Carolina? As a SoCal native, I was a bit skeptical but pleasantly surprised. Everyone in my group enjoyed what they ordered. I was a bit disappointed that my beef burrito was made of ground beef but it was still pretty good. Their chili was actually really good and actually made of beef that wasn't ground up. I would give this place a 4 except that only the first order of chips and salsa is complimentary and the others they charge for. Blasphemy!

The atmosphere of this resteraunt was good if you sit outside. Their is a marina and live music. That was awesome! The food was not great and way overpriced. The queso dip we ordered was just velveeta cheese with salsa. The chicken breast I ordered was dry and the quesadillas has huge chuncks of onions that were not enjoyed by my sister. My other sister got a chimichanga and it had too much on top and made the tortilla soggy. Also the margaritas were not great. They did not have enough tequila. Skip eating here and just sit outside and enjoy the sunset and music.

We really liked this place, despite the other so-so reviews. We went a little after lunch, so the place was pretty empty. We sat inside because it was so hot outside. We ordered a fish taco, a fajita salad, a meat chimichonga and a vegetarian chimichonga. All were very good, as well as the 1st basket of freshly fried free chips (later baskets cost). The vegetarian chimichonga had to be specially made, and the only bad side was it was so temperature hot, and it was challenging to wait so long because it looked so good. Not many Mexican restaurants offer chimichongas, so we give this place a thumbs up.

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
